If you're a Windows user, you can join the Windows Insider Program to get early access to new features and updates for your operating system. Here's how you can join the program and start using the latest features of Windows before its release to the public:
Sign up for a Microsoft account by heading to the Microsoft account sign-up page.
Once you have an account, sign in to your Microsoft account and head over to the Windows Insider Program site.
Once you're on the Windows Insider Program site, click "Get Started."
Before proceeding, you'll need to read and accept the Microsoft Service Agreement and Privacy Statement.
Remember that the new releases may not be tested; hence you might experience crashes, data loss, security vulnerabilities, and crashes.
Once you agree to the terms, you are ready for flight.
You need to meet a few requirements.
- You'll need to run a compatible version of Windows (must be licensed).
- Make sure that Microsoft supports your language. They'll provide you with a list of all the languages they support.
Once you've met all the requirements, you can start using Insider Preview builds! These builds are released regularly and contain new features and changes that haven't been released to the general public. As an Insider, you can give feedback about these changes and help shape the future of Windows.
- Open settings, click on Update & security, and select the windows insider program from the left column.
- Click the link that says "get started."
- Sign in with your Microsoft account. If you don't have one, create one by following the instructions on the screen.
- After signing in, choose between a fast or slow ring.
A fast ring Insider Preview build is released every two weeks with new features and changes. It's meant for experienced users who want to help test new features and changes as they're developed.
A slow ring Insider Preview build is released every four weeks with new features and changes. It's meant for users who want to try out new features and changes but don't want their devices to be too unstable.
After you've chosen which ring you want to use, click the "confirm" button. You will have to agree to the Microsoft software license terms. once you've agreed, click the "next" button.
The next step is to restart your pc. You can choose between restarting now or restarting later.
After restart, go to settings> Update & Security > Windows Update. Click on check for updates to download the latest preview build.
If at any point you want to stop using the Insider Preview Build at any time, go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update" and select "Stop Insider Preview builds."
Stopping Insider Preview builds will remove all of the preview build features from your computer, so you'll want to make sure that you've backed up any files or data that you don't want to lose before stopping
